House Tour Part 2: The Upstairs

I'm finally getting around to posting the second part of our house. In case you missed part 1, click here to view it first. Here are a few more pictures with the exception of our spare room (which we use for storage), our giant laundry closet and 2 bathrooms. There's nothing too interesting about those rooms and I'm honestly too lazy to take any more pictures haha. I know I mentioned how big of a blessing it was to get a house on base so quickly but another blessing that we encountered deals with our washer and dryer. Since we thought we were moving to Germany, we decided to leave our washer and dryer with our old house since the tenants wanted it and the appliances were pretty old anyways. When we got to this house, we realized that we needed them still. Shortly after we learned this, we went to the base department store just to check prices. As we walked in, there was a lot of commotion going on...apparently there was a one hour sale where all the products in the front were 50% off. There happened to be a brand new washer and dryer set that they wanted to get rid of, so we purchased the set for a screaming deal. That same day I was also asked to second shoot a wedding which paid off our washer and dryer in full. Praise the Lord, for always providing!

House Tour Part 1: Kitchen and Living Areas

Well, we haven't had internet for a good two weeks now. We are supposed to be getting it set up this Saturday but after two installation attempts, we'll see what happens. I'm at a friend's house now and wanted to post some of our new home pictures for our family to see. For those of you that don't know what's going on...basically, we were given military orders to move to Germany, then those got cancelled and changed to New York...then my husband got injured which cancelled his military job-change which sent him back here to California to stay with his current position. While all that was going on, we had already made arrangements to sell our house. I had to pack up our things and move them into storage while I blindly waited to see where we would live next and what the military would decide to do with my husband. We managed to get a house on base (even though there is a definite six month waiting list -- glory to God for providing for us!) and now we are finally settled in. I don't know how long we will be here but I am grateful for the roof over our head and the space to call our home. These are pictures of the front of our house (technically it's called a flat but it looks more like big apartments to me) and our kitchen and living areas. I'll save the bedrooms and office for a second post. I don't want to hang too much on the walls since I don't know how long we are here for and we will have to patch up the walls, but I've tried to do my best decorating wise with what I have to work with. :)Just a quick update on Ethan: He will be seeing a specialist for his leg on the 13th. I'm thinking they are going to do an MRI or some type of scan but we will not hear the diagnosis immediately. He is still in a lot of pain and definitely can't run or walk too much on it but I'm grateful for the medication he's been prescribed. He only takes it when he really needs it but it still helps during this waiting period. We are just so thankful to all be together and finally get back into a routine. Kaiden has been sleeping better and has a glow about him whenever he sees his daddy. Once again, I can't thank you all enough for the prayers. They were definitely answered!Check out part 2 here!
